Voices that inspire me

Comments that have left their mark

Soprano Tina Gorina, who will take on the role of Violetta Valery and will give a wonderful performance both vocally and interpretatively. Her voice reached every corner of the room perfectly thanks to its power and projection capacity. From the first scene she stood out above the rest in a very clear way, wearing an intense red dress that stood out against the black and white tones of the chorus, and until the end of the work she kept everyone’s attention due to the scenic force with which she filled the stage.

La Traviata

Tina Gorina delivered a display of interpretative authority and technical command, with an almost effortless vocal ease — including the many moments in which she must sing while lying down. Her Violetta stands out for its naturalness and maturity, featuring a clear and rich voice, a subtle chiaroscuro in the middle register, a pleasant vibrato, and a brilliantly shining top range, supported by an extraordinary legato and a refined use of breath control and mezza voce. Young singers should take note of how to phrase “Dite alla giovane” with a shaped, tender, delicate, and sustained long arc in a pianissimo that is unusual in this theatre.

La Traviata

In the opening performance, the leading soprano was Tina Gorina. The singer from Sant Feliu de Guíxols, who had already performed the title role at Les Arts in Valencia, displayed outstanding musicality, particularly in a brilliant second act filled with unforgettable moments, such as the way she articulated the phrase “Dite alla giovine, sì bella e pura.”
